Ten years of building that business shape the work we do today. We’re the Shopify agency for independent, multi-vendor specialty shops. We help you get started, grow beyond your current setup, and rebuild when something goes wrong.
Why we do
this work.
We’re Victoria and Michael Winter, based in Charleston, South Carolina. We’ve been consulting with retailers since 2023. We come to the work from different backgrounds, but we both want to understand why something is difficult before suggesting how to fix it. We care about specialty shops and the people building them. Our job is to give that work better support, with systems and automations your team can understand and maintain.
Victoria Winter
Victoria opened Amor in 2014, scaled the business over the next decade, and sold it in 2024.
She has worked in retail since 2008. At Amor, she managed more than fifty vendors through years of market seasons, often running the store from a distance. She used Slack to keep customer requests, fit feedback, and shift handovers from getting lost. The everyday details mattered as the business grew.
Growing Amor also showed her what was missing. There were plenty of people she could hire for marketing or design. Finding someone who understood a physical store and could help with its operations was much harder. She built The Ease Co to be that partner, bringing the experience of opening, scaling, and selling her own shop to the retailers she works with today.
Michael Winter
Michael spent fourteen years as a spinal physician’s assistant. His job was to understand where a person’s pain was coming from, which meant looking beyond the first symptom.
He brings that same habit of asking questions to our projects. If receiving keeps getting held up, he follows the process to find where the information or responsibility is getting lost.
